All PowerPoint Game Templates (Friendly Feud, PowerPak 3 Pak, PowerPak 6 Pak, PowerPak Pro, PowerPak Plus):

I am having trouble getting the buttons and animations on the template to function!

For all of the buttons to function properly your macro settings in PowerPoint must be set properly. To change these settings, open PowerPoint and go to Tools, Macros, Security. Change this setting to medium and click OK. Now you must completely close PowerPoint. You can now reopen your game template, and when prompted you must choose ENABLE macros. If you are planning to use the template on a different computer you may have to change this setting on the alternate computer as well.

I changed my macros settings, but my template still is not working!

First make sure that you are testing the buttons in PowerPoint slide show mode. To access this mode go to SlideShow, View Show. You can also access slide show mode by clicking F5 on the keyboard. Also please make sure that you have no special characters in your file name. Special characters include periods, colons, exclamation marks, etc. To resolve this problem simply resave your game using "save as" with a new file name that does not contain a special character.

Some of the buttons on the template are not working!

Does your file name contain any special characters including exclamation marks, question marks, colons etc.? Rename your file without these special characters.

Office 2007

I have downloaded and installed my game, but I cannot find my template!

Buttons arent' working and I can't find my Macro Settings!

The directions are very different for 07. On the upper left hand side of the screen you’ll see the MS logo. Click on the logo, at the very bottom of the drop down you will see “PowerPoint Options” Click there. A new window will appear. Go to “Trust Center” then “Trust Center Settings” on the right side of the window. Set your macros to “Disabled with Notification”. Close out of PowerPoint and re open.

When you reopen it’s going to ask you about your macros, you want to make sure they are enabled. You’ll also want to make sure you save your games as “Macro Enabled Presentations”.

My Macros Still Aren't Working!

Make sure you macros are set to “Disable with Notification” (see can’t find my macro settings for more details). If you open your game and you are not getting a Macro Security warning you’ll want to check your macros. Click on “View” in your ribbon. Then click on “Macros”. You should get a new window with a list of your macros. If this box is empty than your macros have been deleted and you will need to recreate your game from an original template.

If the box is showing a list of macros (you will not be able to change them) than check your file name. If there are any special characters ( !, ?, $, or &) you will want to resave your file as a Macro Enabled presentation without the special character in the file name.

My Score Isn't Displaying Correctly!

Most likely you are using an HP printer or have an HP printer driver installed on your computer. The easiest and quickest way to fix this problem is to open the slide master. Change the values of the two scores to 0000 before you start the game.
