The Easy Way to Expand Any Multimedia Project!

Sound Companion Jr. for Kid Pix allows students to add sounds and music to their Kid Pix presentations. Imagine young creators adding the sounds of cars and traffic to pictures about transportation, and then bringing those pictures into a slide show for a full-blown, multimedia production.

Sound Companion Jr. not only allows students to record directly into the computer, but also to edit their recordings with sound filters such as add echo, play backwards, change pitch, fade in, fade out, and much more. Students and teachers alike will find the program so easy to use with the large icon driven editing buttons and ease of operation, that they will feel like professional sound engineers. If your students are using Kid Pix, they will welcome the addition of Sound Companion Jr.

Teaching Tip:

Before your students attempt a project, show them how to import a sound and modify it. This will cut down on raised hands and student voices saying. "Teacher, teacher." Another way to aid students with questions is to have a red cup at each computer. When a student needs help, they put a red cup on top of the monitor, and you can then see it out of the corner of your ever-roving eyes.
